Timothy A. Battle

Tim, a third generation Miamian, is currently Executive Vice President / Director of Commercial Lines for Keen Battle Mead & Company, a family owned and operated insurance agency that was founded in 1921. Tim, along with his father and 3 brothers, have taken this home town agency from its humble beginnings on Miami Beach to its present status of one of the largest family owned and operated agencies in the State of Florida. The company’s home office is in Miami Lakes with branches in Naples, Vero Beach, Boca Raton and Ocean Reef.

Tim attended Pinecrest Elementary, Palmetto Middle and Westminster Christian High School. He Majored in Risk Management and Insurance at Florida State University with a BA in Business Administration. He has attended post graduate work at Wharton, The Aetna School as well as numerous other sales and administrative courses.

Tim has been President, Vice President and Social Chairman of the Bachelor’s Club of Miami, served as a Board Member for the University Club of Miami, the Snapper Creek Lakes Club and Snapper Creek Marina. He currently sits on the board of Royal Palm Tennis Club, Plymouth Congregational Church Council, and Chairman of the next Moderator of Plymouth Congregational Church.

An avid pilot, Tim currently fly’s a Beech Baron and enjoys flying with other members of the Wings over Miami Air Museum in various aircraft. He holds Single, multi-engine and Instrument ratings and has flight time in a number of former Military and civilian aircraft. He is a WWII Collector and Historian with the center piece of his collection being a 1943 Willys Jeep restored to Factory Class condition which is on display at the Museum.
