Timothy Schmelzer is a Professor of Aviation at Miami Dade Colleg
e. He has been awarded the J. Harvey Watson Endowed Teaching Chair in Aviation, the college’s highest honor. He is a professional pilot and has been recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as the Flight Instructor of the Year in South Florida. He is the coach of the college’s Flight Team and they have received nationwide honors under his leadership in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association for 15 years.
Mr. Schmelzer is a member of the FAA Safety Team and has a long history of promoting aviation safety. He is also known and highly regarded as an expert in Customer Service training. He has spoken around the world and his clients have consisted of airports, airlines, theme parks, colleges and universities, and has been a consultant to businesses and government.
