Tim, a third generation Miamian, is currently Executive Vice President, Director of Commercial Lines for Keen Battle Mead & Company, a family owned and operated insurance agency that was founded in 1921. Tim, along with his father and three brothers, have taken this home town agency from its humble beginnings on Miami Beach to its present status of one of the largest family owned and operated agencies in the State of Florida. The company’s home office is in Miami Lakes with branches in Naples, Vero Beach, Boca Raton and Ocean Reef.
Tim attended Pinecrest Elementary, Palmetto Middle and Westminster Christian High School. He Majored in Risk Management and Insurance at Florida State University with a BA in Business Administration. He has attended post graduate work at Wharton, The Aetna School as well as numerous other sales and administrative courses.
Tim currently sits on the Board of the Orange Bowl Committee and is a past Treasurer of the Wings Over Miami Air Museum. He recently was President of the Board of Royal Palm Tennis Club; Chairman of the Trustees, Moderator and Secretary of the Foundation of Plymouth Congregational Church. He also has been President, Vice President and Social Chairman of the Bachelor’s Club of Miami; served as a Board Member for the University Club of Miami, the Snapper Creek Lakes Club and Snapper Creek Marina.
An avid pilot, Tim currently pilots a 1980 Beech Baron and enjoys flying with other members of the Wings over Miami Air Museum in various aircraft. He holds single, multi-engine and Instrument ratings and has flight time in a number of former Military and civilian aircraft. He is a WWII Collector and Historian and enjoys collecting antique vehicles.
