Suzette Rice was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She is the daughter of a career Pan Am mechanic and grew up a frequent visitor to the Pan Am hangars on 36th street at Miami International Airport.
While Suzette is not pilot, she brings to the museum wide-ranging skills in community and governmental relations as well as a strong business management background and a love for general aviation.
After beginning her education at Miami Dade College and completing a meteorology internship at the Hurricane Center in Coral Gables, Suzette went on graduate with her bachelors from Belhaven University in 1974.
Actively involved with Wings Over Miami Air Museum since 2009, Suzette is the current past President. She also enjoys working with other community organizations and believes in the partnering advantage that arises when organizations can share energy to get something special accomplished. Suzette is current President of Crime Stoppers of Miami Dade County and the Florida Keys, a friend of the Miami Kendall Rotary and a consultant to the Economic Development Council of South Miami Dade.
